- Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud, Father of psychoanalysis.
ret·ro·spect
noun
- a survey or review of a past course of events or period of time.
I stumbled upon this quote a few years ago while reading up on Sigmund Freud, and to this day it has become one of my personal mantras. As of right now I'm going through a major transitional period and it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing. That's not to suggest that things have been particularly rough either, I'd say it's been challenging at best. I have to admit I was feeling quite defeated at one point over the course of the past few months, but I'd like to think that I'm someone who has a really healthy sense of self. I've also proven to be very resilient and even when I hit a low I usually tend to pull through with no problem. With that being said I know that my journey up until now does not define me, nor where I will go in the future. I can only continue to progress and one day, years from now I will know that this journey will have been worth it.
The glass is always half full.
